Remote computer & IT support

I fix it from my desk, not your living room.

Remote computer and IT help for people and small businesses. You email, I get on your screen, and most things are sorted inside an hour. No van, no appointment window, no upsell.

How it works

How a session goes.

STEP 1

You email

Describe it in plain words. I reply telling you whether it's fixable remotely and roughly how long it should take.

STEP 2

You let me see your screen

I send a link, you approve it. You watch the whole time and can disconnect with one click.

STEP 3

I fix it and explain why

In plain language, not jargon — plus what to do if it comes back.

Before you let a stranger on your computer

Four things worth knowing.

I never ask for banking passwords

If something needs your bank or password manager, you drive and I talk you through it.

You can end the session instantly

One click and I'm gone. Nothing stays installed on your machine afterwards.

I'll tell you when it's hardware

A dying drive isn't fixable down a wire. That answer is free, and I'll point you at where to take it.

I don't cold call

Anyone phoning you claiming to be me is running a scam. Hang up.

Questions

Fair things to ask.

What if you can't fix it?

Home sessions are no fix, no charge — if the problem isn't solved, you don't pay. I'll still tell you what's wrong and what your options are.

What do I have to install?

A small screen sharing tool that runs once and removes itself when we're done. You approve the connection, and you can close it at any point.

How do I pay?

Home sessions: card or bank transfer at the end, once it's working. Businesses are invoiced on net 15 terms.

Can you fix a phone or tablet?

Sometimes. I can't take over the screen the way I can on a computer, so it's more of a guided walk-through — email settings, backups, accounts. Email me and I'll say honestly whether it's worth your money.

Do you do ongoing IT contracts?

No. This is per-session work, not a retainer, and there's no monitoring or on-call cover behind it. If you need that, you want a managed service provider — happy to tell you what to look for in one.
